SCUBA diving can be as gear intensive as you want it to be. As an occasional diver you may rent for awhile. But as time goes on and you  engage in the sport more and more, like the rest of us, you will want to own your own gear. Sierra Dive Center is your hometown dive shop and I advise all my students to support the local store owners. Ya gotta have the store to enjoy the dive, that's where you get your "air".
